Your welcoming hosts,
Tim and Debbie

Tim and Debbie, nature lovers, have been privileged to have been guardians/owners of the sanctuary for over 30 years and open for guests since 2006.

About us
"We have restored the Sanctuary to a natural wilderness and love life in our bush hideaway, where we have raised our 3 daughters, Rebecca, Jacinda and Louisa."
As the Conservators (Kaitiaki) of Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary, Tim and Debbie will expand your awareness of New Zealand's ecology.

In 1993 they protected the Sanctuary forever with a Covenant on their Property Title to the Queen Elizabeth II National Trust and are Life Members of the QEII National Trust. Tim and Debbie have had a lifelong love affair with nature, they met through Tramping when Tim was an active mountaineer.
Tim is a current Trustee of the Western Bay Wildlife Trust that protects Little Blue Penguins, and volunteer of the nearby Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust. Debbie is a prolific photographer and shares her nature photography to Instagram and Facebook. Debbie also has a love of music and in the past has written a number of songs - have a listen to her song, "Mount Tutu Sanctuary", written and sung by Debbie.

Debbie is a Breast Cancer Survivor and as a family, they have been Health Activists in advancing Breast Cancer Screening through a successful 125,000 signature Petition to Parliament.
